Make the crowd feel welcome

Community Guidelines

The practical safety rules for profiles, reviews, comments and Memories on Showcase.

Effective 16 July 2026

The principle

Showcase is for sharing the joy, disappointment and stories of live music—not for making another person unsafe. These Guidelines apply to usernames, biographies, profile photos, reviews, comments, Memories and messages sent to support.

Be respectful

  • Do not harass, bully, threaten, shame or coordinate abuse against another person.
  • Do not use hate speech or dehumanising slurs based on race, origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or another protected characteristic.
  • Critique a performance without targeting other fans or the people behind it.

Protect people

  • No credible threats, glorification of serious violence, terrorism or instructions for dangerous wrongdoing.
  • No encouragement of suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. Supportive discussion and recovery stories are allowed when handled safely.
  • No sexual exploitation, grooming, non-consensual intimate content or any sexual content involving minors.
  • Do not expose someone’s address, contact details, private messages, location or other sensitive information without permission.

Be authentic

  • Do not impersonate a person, artist, venue or official organisation.
  • Do not use fake engagement, repetitive promotion, scams, malicious links or coordinated manipulation.
  • Do not submit deliberately false reports or abuse moderation tools.

Share only what you may share

  • Use photos, video, writing and artwork you created or are allowed to publish.
  • Respect venue recording rules, performers’ rights, privacy and copyright.
  • Avoid uploading long or complete recordings that replace the original performance.

Memories

A batch of review photos or videos may remain private while the Showcase team checks it. We approve or reject the batch as a whole. A rejected batch is deleted. Approval only means the batch passed that review; users can still report a problem later.

Report and block

Use the in-app report menu on the relevant profile, review or comment. Choose the closest reason and add only information useful to understand the issue. Blocking immediately limits interaction with that account. A duplicate open report for the same target may be merged.

Showcase targets an initial moderation response within 24 hours and gives urgent safety issues priority. For immediate danger, contact emergency services; email support@showcaseapp.fr for a serious issue you cannot report in the app.

What happens after a violation

Depending on severity, context and history, Showcase may warn the user, reject Memories, hide or remove content, limit features, suspend or permanently delete an account, preserve relevant evidence, or notify authorities where required or necessary to protect someone. Serious violations can lead to immediate action without a prior warning.

Questions about a decision

If you believe a moderation decision is a mistake, contact support@showcaseapp.fr from the address linked to your account and include the relevant review or report identifier if available. Do not resend rejected harmful media by email.
